Trauma can impact the body and the mind, and the scars of our experiences are not always visible to others. Carrying these memories without processing them can take a toll on your mental health. Work through the effects of your trauma and learn how to manage symptoms of PTSD. I tailor therapy to your unique needs, and help you find and utility your strengths.
Children can benefit from play therapy and conjoint therapy with their caregiver(s). These interventions are evidence based practices that will help your child learn to manage their own big emotions and feelings. Pre-teen and teenage clients benefit from individual talk therapy that is structured towards their unique needs, such as journaling and art.
Couples can meet with me to help improve their communication to strengthen their relationship with each other. For these sessions, I employ interventions from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and some elements of CBT.
