Sometimes there is something specific you are ready to work on—and you want to give it dedicated attention.
EMDR Intensives offer extended time for focused trauma treatment, allowing us to work beyond the limits of a traditional 50-minute session. There is time for preparation, EMDR reprocessing, appropriate breaks, and thoughtful closure.
For some people, setting aside dedicated time for treatment is simply more manageable than fitting weekly therapy into an already demanding schedule.
An Intensive may also make sense when you have a particular experience or treatment goal you are ready to address.
Each Intensive is individually planned based on your treatment goals and clinical needs.
The first step is a complimentary 20-minute consultation. We’ll talk about what you’re looking for, answer your questions, and determine whether an EMDR Intensive may be a good fit for you.
If we decide to move forward, we’ll discuss the amount of time to set aside based on what you’d like to address and your individual treatment needs.
Your Intensive is individually structured based on what you would like to address, your treatment goals, and your clinical needs. Treatment may take place in a single extended session or across multiple days.
Regardless of the amount of time we set aside, each Intensive includes preparation beforehand, dedicated time for EMDR reprocessing, and an integration session afterward.
Time to understand what brings you in, establish a focus for our work, and prepare for the Intensive.
Dedicated treatment time for EMDR reprocessing, with breaks incorporated throughout, including a lunch break for longer treatment days. Multi-day Intensives may include several treatment blocks scheduled across consecutive days.
A follow-up session one to two weeks later to check in, discuss what you've noticed since the Intensive, and consider next steps.
Initial intensive packages include preparation and integration sessions. For returning clients, additional reprocessing blocks and any supporting sessions are tailored to your current treatment needs.
2-Hour Intensive
A shorter, focused block of EMDR reprocessing, with the option to schedule additional treatment as needed.

An extended day of EMDR reprocessing, with breaks and time for lunch incorporated throughout.
Multi-Day Intensive
