My path to becoming a therapist has been shaped by both passion and purpose. Early in my career, I was drawn to stories—how people make meaning out of their experiences and how resilience can emerge even in the most difficult circumstances. That curiosity led me from a background in journalism and history into the field of mental health, where I found my true calling: helping people heal, grow, and reclaim their lives.
Over the years, I’ve worked in community mental health settings, supported diverse populations, and specialized in trauma-focused therapy. I became a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist so I could provide care that is both compassionate and grounded in evidence-based approaches. My bilingual background also allows me to serve Spanish-speaking clients, who often face unique barriers to accessing mental health care.
Today, in private practice, I bring all of that experience together. I help individuals recover from trauma, manage the weight of anxiety and depression, strengthen relationships, and, for professionals and creatives, move past blocks to unlock their potential. My approach is collaborative, tailored, and deeply human—because I believe therapy should feel like a safe partnership where lasting change becomes possible.
When I am not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my family and our family pets. I enjoy spending time outside in nature and doing art projects with my children.
My practice and my life are grounded in the belief that with increasing our insight and learning to stay true to our authenticity, we find freedom and connection.
I received my M.A. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. After graduating, I did my clinical training at respected community mental health and day hospital settings, where I received specialized training in crisis management and trauma recovery.
I specialize in various trauma-focused therapy interventions, including EMDR and CBT/ I specialize in therapy for those diagnosed with PTSD and complex trauma, and provide support for individuals recovering from traumatic brain injuries (TBI). I also work with clients navigating anxiety and depression, couples seeking to strengthen their connection, and immigrants in need of psychological evaluations for legal cases. In addition, I help professionals and creative people overcome mental blocks, sharpen focus, and unlock their full potential.
