Understanding Depression

Depression can feel like carrying a heavy weight that makes even simple tasks seem overwhelming. It may show up as persistent sadness, loss of motivation, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, or feeling disconnected from the things and people you once enjoyed. My Approach

At Jessica Muñoz Cohan Psychotherapy, I draw on CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and other trauma-informed interventions to support clients in overcoming depression. Together, we’ll explore the patterns and past experiences that contribute to low mood, while building practical tools for coping, motivation, and self-compassion. My goal is to provide both immediate support and long-term strategies to help you feel more like yourself again.
